Thanks to everyone involved, I had a blast and even actually played some good golf.

Was wonderful to meet you all, looking forward to the next event.

Thanks to Madam, Barenski, Goldy, Weety and everyone else who helped make the event the success that it was, weather be damned!

And yes, I’ve updated my profile.

    Eggy…pretty close, ๐Ÿ˜›

The shirt wasn’t stained after a good soak in some Napisan so that part gets dropped ๐Ÿ™‚

but I’ll wear the “egg” part because, well, I did wear the egg ๐Ÿ™‚

Do we have any idea of what time tee off on Monday will be? Trying to organise babysitters (re grandparents) ?

    8:00am

8.00am one tee start (most likely) or possibly 8.30 shotgun…worst case.

Many thanks. Grandparents, report for duty! ๐Ÿ™‚

Seems the only ones left are Macquarie Links, Albert Park and Noosa Springs. Can’t help with the last 2, but I am meant to be playing Campbelltown on a Social Club calendar in September, so will try for the Macquarie Links one then. Hopefully the rain will stop before then and courses will dry out again..????

Yeah the rain has been horrible, can’t imagine how hard it has been for the poor greens staff at these courses.

Thanks so much Commish, I owe you a good number of beers when we catch up! ๐Ÿ™‚

Leave pass approved! I must have caught the wife at a weak moment but I’m taking it! Looking forward to meeting everyone and playing some great courses.

Still working on those ball markers from St Micks, The Coast & Randwick for you. Have not had my passport stamped for a visa to visit that side of town as yet, but I may get there prior to the Nats.

Thanks Commish, I might actually be getting down there myself in the next few weeks, I’ll let you know how I go. Looking forward to meeting you at The Vintage

I’m keen for 3-6 if spots are available, I won’t be able to get 6 days off from family commitments.

Thanks Commish, happy to wait for Terry Hills, I should have taken that off the list. I thought I saw somewhere in here about playing at Elanora, that course is on my bucket list so if that happens I’ll pick up Monash whilst I’m in the area.

    Hi geosta,

I work at Elanora and hopefully after 2 failed covid attempts, I get the chance to have the L4G crew here at the Nationals in October…3rd year lucky!

Monash is next door so I can head over when I finish an early shift if you like or you can visit in October and take your pic of their selection..

    Cheers
    Barenski

Many thanks Barenski, I saw the thread about the Nationals and I’m going to do all I can to join you guys, just need to keep working on the wife to give me 4 days off from parental duties.

Hope you had a Happy Christmas and New Years!

Thanks Commish, Iโ€™ll have to chat with the wife about a leave pass but 4 rounds in 4 days sounds like fun.
The beers during and post round make it even more fun.

If anyone is traveling to the Newcastle area for this and wants hit up another course, Iโ€™ll be playing Pacific Dunes on Thursday October 20th as part of a business golf group. Great track, and itโ€™s a good group of people so let me know if youโ€™re interested.

Gee that’s a tough one…. Magenta Shores -v- Pacific Dunes. I reckon I can lose a doz balls at each, but I will have more fun doing it at Magenta..

I played Magenta a couple of weeks ago. First tee (16th) – put one in the bush on the left. Texas scramble so take partners drive. 3W, snap hook into the bushes on the left. Reload. Snap hook into bushes on the left. Three shots, three balls down ๐Ÿ™
Didn’t lose another one all day but still, what a way to start! ๐Ÿ˜€

Just wondering if it’s possible to play only a few events in this. I won’t be able to get a leave pass for every day but would love to play a few of those events.

Nominate the days you wish to play and Mads will add you to the list. Be aware however, that as some of the latter dates are limited in numbers able to play, priority is given to those that play in the 2 day Champs on the weekend.
