It has too do with the left wrist if you are a right hander.Dustin Johnson and Brooks Kepra are good examples of what it does .
    for your long game.

I remeber reading Hogans book,, but he doesn’t go in to a lot of detail about it.

Commish woill go balls deep in for a box of Furphy. Just saying :-0

It was an uneven 18 points with no wipes and 46 strokes on the back 9.
I had a bit of a good run on the front 9 with 2 birdies, and 5 pars for 27 points and 37 strokes

I have thought about what was the difference and the only thing I can think of is I hit it c;loser to the pin and made less putts on the second 9 😀

Been a while since I was here.
    Cracked the shits a bit.

Had a lesson in February after some very ordinary performances.

Got a bit of a reminder that it is a game after all.

    Played ok last week.

    At least for 9 holes.

Glad you enjoyed it Framcie. Gardiners definately gives you a chance to score well if you are good enough.

Veterans’ golf resumed today, conveniently playing stab at Drouin. Drouin is somewhat longer than Warra with a heap of par5s and long par4s.
Shotgun start from the 6th, I had three 1-point and a 2 point on the front. Back nine had a wipe and some 1s but enough 3-points to garner 17 points. Returning to the front I had a 4-point birdie on the 1st but also a wipe and too many 1-points for another 15.

    Total: 32 points.

Second in A grade was 37 points which suggests it might have been a bit tough out there, with showers rolling through. But C grade was led by two players with 46 points. The course was in excellent condition although I found the greens a bit slow.

    Back to Warra tomorrow.

we will have to better line up the Vets games so I can come and play some West events, the venues which are closer than some of the South ones.

Our next event is at schitt creek in Jan.

I know that creek. Been up it a few times.

I did notice that is was “Rozzer Day” on the timesheets when I booked in for the twilight comp.
Fairways are very good. Rough on most holes is cut short after first cut.
Some work on the green fringes on some holes and the greens are not as quick as they could be.
You should be good for 40pts off The White Tees Francie

It was a poor effort, but I learned some things about playing in a 3 round comp.
I sort of lost interest after blowing out to 5 over after the tenth in the first round, and then just didn’t care, shooting double bogey on the 7 of the next 8 holes. If I had changed my mind set, and decide, no more giving up, I could have possibly got back in to it, with a 97 instead of 107.
I don’t think it would have mattered much. Only A and B grade net.

Pretty sure the Winner who plays off +2 killed it. He had a net 68 in the last round.

When you are over 55 you can play the Senior Tour. It’s $1 less for the comp as well.

Played 3rd rd of champs (stroke) yesterday playing off 19, and started par, par bogey bogey par. Spud got me on the 6th and finished with an 8.(bunt out of left hazard went sideways and into right hazard. Should have taken a drop)

Still got round in 44 with another par on 7 before going bogey bogey.
More Spuds on the 10th, 12th, and 17th saw me shoot 54 on the back 9. Par on the 18th after again 240m drive up and over the hill and 7i.
Got to find a way to keep up the concentration and stop swaying on the back foot (the dreaded reverse pivot).
HCP score was 33 pts with 3 scrubs so came in .1. HCP 20.8

Some fucking idiot keeps kicking my practice putts off the putting green into the bushes.
It wasn’t funny the first time they did it. At least they don’t cry and blame me when they hit a poorly out on the course.
I have learned over time to only control how I react because I sure as fuck cannot control how someone else chooses to behave.

So you’re still a shlt karnt!

Better than a fact hunt xx
