BlockedDidn’t play Royal Melbourne yesterday morning –
too wet.Didn’t play Rossdale yesterday – too wet.
Didn’t play Warra today – too wet for carts. Round 1 of club champs – postponed until next week. Actually, they’ve renamed round 2 to round 1 and there won’t be a round 2. Top 8 in each grade into match play knockout. As I’ve just knocked myself out of contention by dropping back to B grade (13 to 18), it doesn’t matter what they do, I really shouldn’t have bothered to take up space on the timesheet anyway.
Should be warm and sunny on Monday for Vets (East vs West Gippsland) at Traralgon, looking forward to a warm day and lots of cold beers

BlockedStab at Warra today.
18 out with a wipe (a stupid conifer swallowed my ball at chest height and needed sugery to give it back, I smashed it up good), and 17 back in. That’s 35 points.
Five 1-putts, no 3-putts.Any 4 putts?
From memory now, technically no.
On the 13th I was on the fringe surrounds and putted off the green, then only had two more putts.Old Bogey
BlockedIt’s amusing that he’ll blow his own trumpet, even with his handicap

BlockedAnother perfect day today. Our northern cousins wish they could be this lucky.
Turns out I spoke too damn soon, in West Gippsland today, we’ve already had November’s average rain and we’re only one week in.

BlockedWhy is there a Mexican room and The Cockroaches room?
Bloody Sydney-centric world. We all know that you think the world revolves around you, but seriously, where’s the Victorian room?Old Bogey
BlockedStab at Warra again today.
One wipe, three 2-points and five 3-points on the front for 21 points.
Two 3-points on the back and all the rest were 2-pointers for another 20 points.
Seven 1-putts (no 3s) certainly helped.41 points won the day but it was only a small field, I am the big shark in a small pond sometimes.
Trouble is that club champs start on Sat and today’s effort drags me back to a playing ‘cap of 18. So, instead of a good chance in C grade, I’ve now got Buckley’s in B grade. Bugger it !!!!!
No one really cares about the B or C grades anyways, we’re all just choppers taking spots in the field when it should be a single grade Championship anyway.
Just my thoughts…Old Bogey

BlockedI didn’t play today, but I went up at Beacy this morning for a meeting, I had to explain to a few of the younger members why they were wrong and needed to change what they wanted to do so it could be done my way. After watching it drizzle for a couple of hours, meanwhile getting into shouts with four other members drinking Irish coffees, I went home when it was my turn for a shout and needing to use the little boys room, all without playing.
I had to stop twice on the way home for a pit stop.Old Bogey
BlockedQuarter final of match play knockout today.
Equal handicaps (even though he smacks the ball 100m longer than me). It was close all the way, mostly alternating between me being one up and square.
I lost on 15 to go one down, halved 16, then lost on 17. 2&1Despite the warmth, it was very pleasant out there and very sociable.

BlockedI take it that this where I tell you all about how I played.
as usual, Stab at Warra today, but today it was part of Tournament Week.as usual, played crap, heaps of 1-point holes, too many wipes, five 1-putts but also two 3-putts. 14/12: 26
Highlight of the day was a birdie on the 18th. At halfway through the day (we were the last of the morning field), no-one else had even got their name on the NTP. At about 1m, there is doubt whether I’ll keep it.
It seems that I won that NTP – a Callaway glove. After coming 141th in a field of 155, I am just happy to walk away with something from the day.
The glove will probably be too small so I might have to swap it over to something more useful.1 user liked this post.
