Wordpress and bbpress are built using PHP. Perhaps you mean a separate stand-alone forum built-in PHP?
This site was built very simple and quick as a back up for ISG which we still dont have clear facts on what will happen to it.
If/when and until we know what is happening there this is what we got. Several changes have been made already from member feedback and more can be done in the future once we know what the future looks like it bit more.
If everyone can let me know very specific items for future upgrades well look to updated in the next version.
OB not sure why a website would discharge your battery – first I heard fo something like that happening before anywhere.

It’s probably just all the graphics. In order to get rid of the unread tag, one has to open the page even if it’s of no interest. That downloads and displays all the picture ads which are also of no interest. Maybe the battery is getting a bit old and losing capacity.
As for suggestions: a ‘mark all as read’ would help.

Last Sat: 4BBB par at Warra. (It’s really 2BBB). We had +3 going out but trimmed that back to +1 by the end.
We didn’t come last, but not far from it. Something like +11 won.Sun: Traralgon plate. Just 23 points, say no more.
Mon: oldies’ nine hole at Warra, 16 points for the 9.
Today: Agg Stab at Warra. I had 15 out with just one 1-putt and a wipe. Did better on the back nine with seven 1-putts (mostly because I couldn’t hit greens) for another 20 points. Total of 63 points with partner, more than 20 off the pace.

Starting with a fully charged battery, I get little more than one hour on this site before the battery is just about discharged. That rate is worse than watching streaming video.
On the old ISG site, I could browse for many hours with only a small amount of discharge. I can watch Youtube videos for hours and maybe take a 30% hit on battery storage.But on this site the battery takes a dive. Maybe it’s the volume of adverts. Maybe it’s the fact that I have to scroll through many pages just to get to the unread stuff.
Do others have a similar experience with battery discharge rates ?

Just accept that the best has been and gone and now it’s time to just enjoy the game with whatever you feel like doing on the day. With WHS at the end of the month, your GA handicap will go up 7% anyway.

Started slowly with 6 stab points on opening 6 holes, then 9 points on next 3.
Once we hit the Lakes, shit happened. I had a Bo Derek on hole 20 and followed that with a nasty dozen on hole 22 (2 into the drink).
End result was a nett 89 off 16: played to 25.Today was the Garfield Plate, again playing off 16.
Highlights: no wipes, no 3-putts.
Lowlights: no 3-points, heaps of 1-points, total 26 points.As for finding a better home for this thread, none of the others seem any more relevant. I’ve asked madam and await a response.

From the end of Jan, you will also need the scratch rating and the par. In addition, they have moved the 7% discount from your index to the aforementioned playing ‘cap.
