ParticipantOf my two highlights of the day, one was you calling your first birdie.
The shot you had to sling around onto the green after telling me how close you were going to put it was an absolute standout, then to follow it up by draining that putt inspired me.Calling a shot and then making it. I know for a fact I’ve done that at least once in total in my entire golfing career.

ParticipantSome of the greatest ball striking I’ve been privileged enough to be the chauffeur for. Loved the day. Will always remember the surprise on your face when the birdie putt from off the green dropped for three in a row. Will say it again, that is serious golf in any language, nothing to be denied there. There was one hole you let me hit it 50m past you off the tee, otherwise your driving was impeccable.
This might make more sense now.

ParticipantGood eyes Commish. I don’t know where that was posted.
Thanks Weeti.
Sanctuary Cove is my home course, I’ve played there four times in the last five years. So home ground advantage helped.
I’m pretty sure it was playing with Bump that spurred me on, it was a high standard cart with him coming second. I had a run of six holes where I put together 19 points.
Also got lucky with my group finding two of my drives for me that I thought were lost, plus sinking some crazy long putts which always help the score. My handicap is headed in the right direction now although I was surprised to only lose 0.5 so my playing handicap didn’t even move.
Onwards and upwards now. Hope you are all well.

ParticipantPlayed with Queensland crew yesterday at Sanctuary Cove. Absolutely perfect golf conditions which meant only one thing………… had the pleasure of watching Bump make three birdies in a row. I don’t think he got the credit on the course at the time, it’s actually really impressive the more I think about it.
Personally I’m finally getting past a frozen shoulder which has been severely debilitating for last 18 months. Definitely seeing more golf on the horizon now.
Thanks as usual to Mads for organising and great to see some familiar faces. All the best.

ParticipantG’day! So I played golf today at Kooralbyn. Great course. I really enjoy that place. There’s a hole there they claim is the hardest driving hole in Australia or something. I dont even think its the hardest hole on the course. Had so much fun with the group I was with, chipped in from a bunker on one hole and to prove it wasn’t a fluke chipped in again off the fairway the next hole. If I practiced more I reckon I could be good at this game. I dont have facebook so I dont know what my final result was, but I played in their copperhead challenge which is off the tips. exactly where the course should be played from. If you havent been out there lately, put it on the list.
Hope you are all doing well, staying safe and are happy and healthy. Talk soon and see some of you even sooner!
PS. I got a new golflink number, I’ve been officially referred to as a legend in my account, which was kind of nice.
5 iron of goodness get a run?
You know it did. Was the source of the follow up chip in.

ParticipantI dont know what the criteria was but its nice they thought of me.
Is that graph over the last 15 years?
About one card a year across the period. I’m consistent.

ParticipantYeah, that actually makes more sense. 🙂
Once a Legend…. Always a Legend. Just ask Barnesy. On a different point… 22.3 REALLY!!!
22.3 is about right. I’d be good off of 25 i reckon.

ParticipantThanks Bump for sharing the message. Appreciated mate.
This video popped up on my LinkedIn feed.
My feed is often filled with over the top naff videos of “entrepreneurs” or “Life Coaches” simply trying to make a name of themselves.
This one seemed different, this bloke’s title is General Manager, so I am sure his type would be more often in a tailored suit in his corner office in the air-conditioned tower.
The soot on his face and passion in his voice is something that really struck me, there was a genuine sense that this man is genuine. The bushfire rebuild isn’t finished, there are still a special breed of punters who are there helping and showing their support well after the media has gone away. Blaze Aid is working throughout NSW, so there is a lot of love for you there our Blue Brothers and Sisters.
I don’t know how to get the video to work without directing you to LinkedIn, or if the man in the video would want this publicised like this, but here’s my show of appreciation anyway.

ParticipantG’day fellas. I’m back in radio range again. Not much call for wifi at the bottom of a gully in 38 degrees and 92% humidity (like yesterday). The boys and girls out this way are hard as nails.
Actually I’m hatching a new way to help out those in need and hoping someone here can help me. I bid for (and won) a voucher for a midweek three night stay in an on course cottage plus a round of golf for four people at Eastern in Victoria. That money went to charity.
I’m thinking if someone will buy it, I’ll donate THAT money to charity also. The vouchers for accomodation and golf are separate so I could split them but it seems useful to do it altogether. Valued at $1600, I was thinking it would be great value at $1000.
Anyone interested?
Hope you’re all well and cheers for the good wishes. Ben.

ParticipantSo was just hanging around here a bit more and I noticed that I had “been liked 10 times”. It means a lot, but if I’m being honest, I’d give it all back to have been loved once. Just saying……
I’m complete.
