ParticipantI blew out my knee playing football (the proper kind, what you Aussies tend to call Gridiron) when I was 27 and needed to find something else to do. One of my mates had just picked up the game and convinced me to join him. I was very skeptical at first but after the first pure hit at the range I was hooked.
I always expect to play the best round of my life when I step up to the first tee and I can’t understand people that say they play for “exercise”, “social interaction” or other blah reasons. I really don’t care about stableford points and crap like that. The least amount of shots in a round is what counts.

No salary from Fintech for almost a year after the IT crash 2001 so gave up and:

Golf travel agent location rep in the Azores (fun but ridiculous hours)
Macgregor Golf demo days (which sucked big time)
Golf club reception (fun but crap pay)

Scrum Master
