I don’t consider 101 a cause for celebration even if it was 40 points and 4th place?
God it’s a brute of a track. Those par 5’s go on for ever.
    Great day though! Thank you.

Yeah but a golf pro won’t come and give me a lesson in my garage every night when I’m feeling a bit bored.

So my Xmas and birthday presents this year is a Mevo + golf sim.
I need to get an impact screen, projector and mat.
Looking for advice. Any recommendations or ideas where to go for recommendations?

You can have a lot of lessons from a golf pro who can see and correct your faults for a lot less than the cost of the high tech gadgets.

Hi Bob. What are the new yellows you have on Facebook now?

The KDV range is very short and triangle shaped, the nets don’t contain a hooked 6 iron ?

    Used to
Be such a great range. Maybe they shouldn’t have built 36 tennis courts or however many they have.
I also was told that they charge for the short game area by the hour. Is that right?

    This is too simplified.
I’m trying to be a bogey golfer. So for me layup is frequently justified.
For someone better layups not so justified
Also depends on how solid you shirt game is and on how guarded the green is.
In trouble If the risky recovery can save a shot maybe worth it. Depends on format as OB says if risky recovery not likely to save a shot (eg puts you 130 from the green instead of a safe shot to 150) probably not worth it

Didn’t intend to leave like that. My phone went flat and couldn’t find the charger.
I think a bit of a suggested agenda might help with some topics for discussion. Obviously won’t matter if we go off topic but might give a little more structure.

Now drinking Amazing Wakachangi. As the label says it’s “quite nice beer”. Masterfully understated

Think I’ve worked out the Colonial problem. There’s now a pro who sets up for lessons all Saturday morning with Some young Asian golfers. . Pretty sure he goes through and picks out any half decent ball leaving the worn out rocks for everyone else. I went this arvo just after a collection and half the balls were good pick ups again.
With two greens and two bunkers in the complex, large short game area, reasonable grass tees and (if you go at the right time) a mix of good balls and old range balls in your bucket, it’s the pick of the bunch so far. Even though the bunkers could go a tip of sand. But then, if you can get out of that mud you can get out of anything. Right?
Will be sad if Clive builds units all over it soon. I would never buy there. I’ve seen the high tide mark 15 feet up the trees on that course. Good luck to your car in the underground garage!

I’ll check. I also have to report on KDV

Essentially there used to be about 3 ranges with good short game areas plus grass tees plus real balls. Now I don’t think there’s a single one with all that. In fact not a single one with Just real balls even.

lakelands has a good set up. Not sure if they allow public to practice there?

Too many questions. Too hard. Don’t bother. Boomer.

I must have been deep in isolation…. What’s Zoom??

Yes. Deep isolation or different country??

Zoom is an online video group chat. I send you a social link and we are online in a video room

No flights out since mid March. The last social thing I got put me in hospital for 3 days. Do I need some form of technical knowledge that a 7 yr old would have but I don’t? Will it work on my Nokia 810?? Do I need to be on Facebook, or Twitter, or Instagram, or Snapchat, or Tic Tok?? If so, I’m screwed.

Do you putt differently with pipes? I’m maybe a bit more aggressive on short putts. That’s all.
