    Today Colonial.
So much improved so much the same.

Putting. 29. Used my old Wilson Staff HT and God it putts so much better for me than my Scotty. Not as soft a feel. Not as sexy a look. Putts better.
Chips are more dependable pitches are too. I’ve a better idea of distance control since I worked out how far every short club goes with a half and 3/4 swing.
Lots a good shots and the draw is there, man.
But utterly fucked up 3 holes due to hooks and pushes into bunkers and water.
Shot 99 if I’m honest. But off my (surely bloated??) cap of 25 would have been 38 points with 3 wipes.
38 points off 15 holes basically.
Just need to remove the wipes….
It’s all improving but it’s hard work.
    Oh so hard.
    ?

Time to brush off the cobwebs here.
Past several weeks have been interesting in a Covid kind of way.
Busy return to work, time for a round and a half with Hack, then had to close the clinic, lay off staff and after a week of gardening I’m now a GP in Upper Coomera.
    Such is life.
I have continued to go to range a bit and I’ve been practicing chips of some good carpet on the path. Which I think is improving contact.
Last weekend I played Robina Woods. Sprained my back after a few holes and after that hooked and topped everything. Load of shot 102.

Goldy he did love his bacon
On the first he had his shot to re-taken
Teed his ball on a stack
    Of middle and back
    Said “it’s a mulligan if I’m not mistaken “

I think Toph again has no idea who Sandy is and isn’t.

[/postquotejesus it rhymes. Do you want it to be factually accurate as well?

The hole was one fifty fiver
So Sandy pulled out his driver
    Hit it quite close
    He got quite verbose
To escape with a par like Mcgyver

To my mind a lot of this is quite ridiculous. Don’t get me wrong I’m all for reducing spread and social distancing. I’ve closed my business and have zero income. So I am onboard. Family does not leave the house. But if I or any of my family want to do a sport, be it surfing, running, golf whatever where I am basically on my own then let me do it. And driving in a car any distance is not a problem.
Having said that quite a lot of cars still on the road. Can’t tell me everyone is doing allowed work, food shopping, going to a funeral etc.

What’s the situation in Qld? As o see it I’m still able to and very safe to drive to a golf range and practice for an hour or two not getting within many feet of someone else. I’m allowed to go and get exercise by myself everyday am I not?

Am I reading this right? $2M at a 4-5x multiple (wow) so it was making $400-500,000 PA just booking golf rounds? $100,000 a week???

    Bugger.
Had it all worked out. Courier the clubs to NZ which was a major headache dealing with customs from OS. Left family ski holiday in Japan early leaving family to get flight to Queenstown for the BMW national final. Couldn’t get a refund on original fare so some expense. Get to Tokyo airport and ……. Air NZ have cancelled the flight ?. Instead they get me to Queenstown at 9.30 half an hour after tee off. So don’t get to play in comp (and not allowed to qualify for 5 years now)
Get rushed to club, put straight in cart and driven to 5 th tee and off we go for a social hit with my group.
Needless to say the combo of no golf for 3 weeks, no warm up, stiff from red eye flight etc means was not a good score.
But some cracking shots and great scenic course. Rough was a good 8 in long even next to greens made it interesting. They are setting up for NZ open.
